Fall 2026 Symposium

Join us on Tuesday, September 22, as we celebrate National Scenic Byway Day with an evening dedicated to the past, present, and future of the Tunnel of Trees.


Flyer for the upcoming symposium. Entertainment will take place from 5:30 to 6pm by Peacemeal String Band. Presentations will begin at 6pm. Refreshments will be available

Please join us from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on September 22, 2026 at Readmond Township Hall, 6034 Wormwood Ln, Harbor Springs, MI 49740 for this informative evening as we celebrate National Scenic Byway Day and discuss the continued preservation and stewardship of this remarkable corridor.

From 5:30 to 6:00 PM we will have entertainment by the Peacemeal String Band along with light refreshments and open discussions with various local and regional groups. Presentations will begin at 6:00 PM with topics including the history of the M-119 Scenic Heritage Route designation, current corridor safety and restoration, and the 2026 tree health survey. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters as well.

Registration is preferred. Please register by Tuesday, September 8.
